The concept behind these three artwork is a telling of Distant's "Tyrannotophia" storyline. Described by the band the story is a dark descent into the depths of the conceptual world of Tyrannotophia. The kingdom is on the brink of falling and a new era is about to begin. From the darkness, all the wretched creatures are on a hunt for its crown. The composition for “Dawn Of Corruption” was inspired by Singer Sargent's work, "Fumée d'ambre gris (Smoke of Ambergris)." I used a limited color palette to emphasize the golds and reds with high-key color values in the background to bring focus to the figure.
