Within Destruction || YŌKAI

Full album layout for brutal slamming death metal outfit Within Destruction's newest release "Yōkai." The band was heavily inspired by Japanese pop culture for this album. For the design of the layout I incorporated themes from the cover for the color scheme and layout. I wanted to have the design look of a Japanese rap album while still staying true to the heavier elements of the band. This was a fun opportunity to work outside of my typical design style and I really enjoyed drawing influences from Japanese culture.
The album itself stands out as a unique blend of genres and I highly recommend checking it out.
