Lorna Shore || Immortal
Caelan Stokkermans Arts 2020
I was incredibly excited to be working with Lorna Shore on this artwork. Previously Lorna Shore had released all of it's albums with a unique symbol on a simple textured background. It was a great experience to finally make them something in a new style that represented the bands move to a more mature stage of their career. The concept was about incorporating their newest symbol into the art. I decided to take inspiration from the simplicity of their previous releases and have the focus of the art be the symbol itself. I referenced pagan rituals in which a wooden effigy is worshipped and surrounded by various offerings. The offerings surrounding the effigy came from the themes of the first two singles released by the band, a snake and a lamb. The landscape is very nordic speaking to ancient gods of the far north in forgotten fields of lonely woods.
Released by Century Media Records. Featured in Heavy Music Artwork Masterpieces 2019.
